The EMRA signals were designed and built for Centralized Traffic Control (CTC) operation with a dispatcher. When we are not using a dispatcher, we want to have the signals operate in a prototypical automatic fashion. The Monashee Pacific would probably have used a signal control scheme called [Absolute Permissive Block (APB)] to achieve this. Since CTC signal configuration is different than that used on APB, we need to use a modified version. This version uses a 'Headblock' which we have with our CTC OS sections (called a Control Point (CP) on some railroads).
All of our signals were handbuilt by a member with the exception of the semaphores.
It is planned to use semaphores for the signals at Ondic (Van Horne Jct. on the first 2 maps below) as well as train order signals at towns with train order stations.
