Track Feeders

Track feeders on the EMRA layout. This is hidden track,
which is why there is a hardboard "fence" along the roadbed.
The two red wires are 12 gauge solid bus wire which parallel
each section of track, and are connected to the track with 18 gauge
solid feeder wire (white and red). Since the tap is not insulated,
the taps are staggered and it is necessary to keep the
heavy wires spaced - this is done with an invention by
one of our members - the white block to the right.
It is a rectangular piece of plywood (3/8" thick, but not critical),
with two slots on the side cut at angles.
The wires are laid on top of the joist, the block placed between them,
slid down until the wires are held firmly, then screwed to the joist.
